TODAY is the most popular day of the year to try for a baby.

Many young couples will cosy up after the New Year in the hope of adding to their family.

And those wanting to know the best way to woo their partner need not look any further, with these toys showing exactly how it’s done.

Dubbed National Baby-Making Day, research has found most wannabe parents will get it on at 10.36pm tonight after going back to work.

Official figures show the UK’s most common day to be born is September 26, 38 weeks after January 2.

Tricks

Fertility experts say couples are inspired by wanting a baby to be eldest in the school year.

The study by ChannelMum.com also revealed couples are so desperate to conceive that 71% have tried wacky tricks to boost their chances.

They include wearing socks to keep warm, eating McDonald’s fries after sex and even wearing frozen underpants.

A survey of 1,500 mums found the most recommended advice was to eat dark chocolate every day, with 40% trying it.

The site has now made a video showing dolls demonstrating a variety of sex positions – though it does not recommend the bizarre undies worn by the dolls.

Founder Siobhan Freegard said: “Falling pregnant isn’t always easy so couples will attempt anything.

“Our members swear their tips all helped and we have hundreds of bouncing new babies to prove it.”
