ROOM 101 is the longrunning BBC One series in which celebrities reveal their pet hate (a person or a thing) that they would love to banish to oblivion.

The title of the show comes from the “room of torture” in George Orwell’s novel 1984.

Now host Frank Skinner has revealed he can get quite shocked when viewers spill the beans on what they would love to send into permanent exile.

It wasn’t the likes of Kate Price, Kim Kardashian, Boris Johnson, Gemma Collins or even Donald Trump they loathe. They actually hate leaf blowers. Frank, who has hosted the show for five years, said: “I get a lot of people telling me what they’d put in. That’s what I get the most from viewers of the show.

“A lot of people mention leaf blowers. People actually stop me and talk about them for a while. But, weirdly, no-one has ever mentioned leaf blowers on the show.

“I do get other stuff… all sorts. But usually it is stuff we have already put in.”

Room 101 was launched back in 1994 and its previous hosts have included fellow comic Paul Merton and Nick Hancock.

Frank reckons the public love to have a whinge.

He added: “It’s a very British thing, having a moan.

“We’ve picked up on a national past-time.” ¬

Room 101 kicks off on January 12 on BBC One.
