Gill’s bid for X-tra season

-

GILLIAN Anderson did a U-turn on staying for a second season of the rebooted X-Files because she was “curious”.

The US actress first played FBI agent Dana Scully in 1993 alongside David Duchovny.

She initially agreed to appear in a new six-part series in 2016, but then decided to stay for another season – the show’s 11th.

The 49-year-old said: “I wouldn’t have been happy if those six were how we said goodbye.”

But she confirmed she will not reprise the role again, adding: “I’m finished, and that’s the end of that.”
