LIFE’S GOOD, MAN

Why the lads just love being one of the boys

- By LAURA NEIL news@dailystar.co.uk

BEING able to wee anywhere, go to a pub on your own and not having to give birth are among the best things about being a man.

Playing with Nerf guns without being judged and watching footie with the lads were also included in the top 40 reasons why it is good to be a guy.

The study of 2,000 blokes revealed not having periods was the top reason for being male, closely followed by avoiding childbirth.

Not worrying about wearing the same shoes every day and having no need to shave your legs were plus points of being a fella too.

Worrying less about your figure and not having to “put your face on” also made the list.

The study found going to the pub was one of the most pleasing things about being a man, with one in five lying about where they are while ® they drink with mates. Over half said they would often go to their local to watch the football and sink at least three pints.

But the study, conducted by One Poll.com for Skinny Brands, found the worst things about being a man were going bald, developing a beer belly and getting kicked in the groin.

Completing the top five were having man boobs and being expected to fix things. Also appearing in the list of bad things were being told to “man up” and feeling like you cannot show emotion.

That being said, 44% of males agreed that they have it easier in life than women, with just 6% saying it is hard to be a bloke.

Tom Bell, co-founder of Skinny Brands, said: “We wanted to really get into the psyche of men – find out what they love and what makes them tick.” 5 7 9 People assuming life is easier for men Being judged when showing your emotions
