MENGLI KHAN MAKE AMENDS

- By NEIL RANDON

MENGLI KHAN can atone for his recent outing, when running out, by taking the Sky Bet Moscow Flyer Hurdle at Punchestown.

This talented individual was set for a fourth successive victory over hurdles before crashing out at the second-last at Leopardstown.

Davy Russell, considered as one the best in the business, replaces young Jack Kennedy on the Gordon Elliott-trained MENGLI KHAN (2.10).

He will not only have to be on his best behaviour but will also have to be at the top of his game with Getabird in the field.

Ironically, Getabird ran out in a point-to-point when having his first race, but has since impressed with wins in two bumper events and once over hurdles. He is likely to be a big danger.

Elliott and Russell can also score with PAT’S OSCAR (3.20).

She has posted some solid efforts since her last success at Perth in September and will be helped by the return to two-and-a-half miles, the trip she won over.

INVITATION ONLY (1.00) looks the pick of the three Willie Mullins runners in the novice chase.

He was a smart hurdler and impressed when beating Any Second Now on his second start over fences at Navan.

That form reads well as Any Second Now has since finished second to Footpad (favourite for the Arkle Chase) at Leopardstown.

Jessica Harrington, who has her team in top form, can take the maiden hurdle with IMPACT FACTOR (2.45) the 13-8 favourite.
