Kop boy Ry can really fly

- by ALEX CROOK

LIVERPOOL winger Ryan Kent has vowed to help Bristol City reach the Premier League after sealing a loan move from Anfield.

Kent, 21, will make his City debut against Norwich today after moving to Ashton Gate until the end of the season.

He said: “I am really excited. They have a great manager in Lee Johnson and some really good players.

“With the position the team is in at the moment, I’d be stupid not to think we could get promoted to the Premier League.

“With the manager and players and the fact they are in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup, anything is achievable.

“The style and philosophy at this club at the moment fits my identity as a player. They are playing some of the best football in the Championship.”

Kent spent the first half of the season on loan at German club Freiburg after a stint at Barnsley last term.

City boss Johnson said: “He’ll bring genuine speed, athleticism and ball control to our squad.”
