Blues boss Eden for exit?

-

YOU have to wonder what’s going on in Antonio Conte’s mind when it comes to Eden Hazard.

The £200m-rated star has had just one 90 minutes in Chelsea’s last eight games.

And during that period the Blues have had four goalless draws.

Take out the 5-0 victory over a pitiful Stoke side and they have managed just five goals in 10-and-ahalf hours of football.

Conte’s playing a Hazard-ous game. If he wants to get on the wrong side of owner Roman Abramovich, he’s doing a pretty good job.

With Real Madrid waiting in the wings, giving the Belgium ace the cold shoulder doesn’t seem the best way to persuade him to sign a new deal.

Contrast this treatment with the way Arsene Wenger treats Mesut Ozil with so much respect.

Conte insisted on Tuesday he did not care a jot about keeping his players happy. Annoyingly, we did not think to ask if he was worried about pleasing trigger-happy billionaire Abramovich.

His behaviour, and some of the things he has been saying of late, leads you to think Conte’s fallen out of love with the Stamford Bridge job and is ready to go in the summer.

Many fans will understand why, given the champions were even courting injury-plagued Andy Carroll before he was ruled out with a hairline ankle fracture yesterday.
