KNUCKLE dusters and lethal daggers are on open sale at a family ski resort.

The shops are also flogging drugs kits on streets lined with sleazy strip joints. For just £17.50 we were offered a long, curved knife with a serrated blade and a grinder for marijuana. In Bansko, Bulgaria, leaflets and flyers for a string of lap dancing and strip clubs were shoved at us. One aggressive promoter even started to pull us down a deserted side street. “Live sex show, you want to see live sex?” he hissed, before trying to force us into a deserted building with music blaring from a room upstairs. We made our excuses and left.

In other clubs, scantily clad women dance and breathe fire for the entertainment of British revellers keen on getting drunk on cheap booze. But the Brits we saw striding down the main street were not alarmed by the dangerous underbelly of the town.

One mum on holiday with her family said: “All you have to do is not go into those particular clubs.”

This winter 400,000 British skiers and snowboarders will hit the slopes for a booze-fuelled break. One study found that on average, each Brit will down about 53 pints or large glasses of wine over the course of a single week on the slopes.

And 61% of skiers who indulge simply consider it fun and safe.

Yet shocking antics have been revealed this week by our undercover probe into Bulgarian budget resorts dubbed “Magaluf-on-ice”.
