THE BBC Two comedy has been going now for four years.

And Reece Shearsmith – who writes the show with Steve Pemberton – thinks it could go on for many more series to come.

He said: “As long as we keep coming up with different stories it could run forever.”

But he admitted: “I’m not sure we can – it’s gruelling to keep coming up with new ideas.” PAIGE Young has got an admirer.

Towie lothario Pete Wicks tweeted her after Saturday’s show saying “Go on!!”, with an emoji of a face blowing a kiss.

It isn’t the first time he’s contacted her.

Rumour has it he was DM-ing her last year while still dating Megan McKenna and, after they split, she claimed he was texting more than 10 girls behind her back.

DOCTOR Who fans will be thrilled to see “Rose Tyler” and “The Master” together on TV next week.

However, it’s pure chance it even happened. Billie Piper and John Simm will be seen playing divorced couple Karen and David Mars in this new BBC drama. The pair get caught up in a police investigation into the search for the killer of a pizza delivery boy which uncovers a tangled web linked to illegal immigration, the Government, the Church and the military. However, when TV bosses were casting for the show, they never even thought to ask award-winning actress Billie. The lead role of the detective had gone to Hollywood star Carey Mulligan and they didn’t think Doctor Who and Secret Diary Of A Callgirl star Billie would want a small role. But they were wrong. Writer David Hare revealed: “Billie Piper we didn’t even think of because the part is not the leading part and we had not thought of Billie. “But Billie’s agent rang us and said, ‘Billie has read this and she will play that part’. “We said, ‘That part is not a leading part’, but Billie wanted to play it!” FANS may be screaming loudly for a third series of Doctor Foster with Suranne Jones.

But it seems the BBC isn’t so eager.

The show’s writer Mike Bartlett tells Radio Times: “No-one has ever put pressure on me to make more of it. I think the BBC would rather I did something new.”
