HOLLYWOOD A-listers wore black gowns as they led Britain’s first major Time’s Up protest on the BAFTA red carpet.

But it was pregnant Princess Kate – in green – who was the talk of the event as her outfit revealed her growing baby bump.

Members of the Time’s Up campaign had sent a letter urging guests “to wear black” as they did at the Golden Globes.

They were supported by Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie, Margot Robbie and Jennifer Lawrence at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Many also wore Time’s Up badges. TV presenters Rochelle Humes, Edith Bowman and Sian Welby, along with actresses Kristin Scott Thomas and Andrea Riseborough, also proudly wore black.

Message

Rochelle said: “It’s a powerful message, it’s a strong thing to do.”

But Kate, who is expecting her third child in April, steered clear of the politics in her dark green gown.

Meanwhile, it emerged BAFTA stars are set to be issued with tough new rules on sex scenes in movies – including a ban on snogging with tongues.

The actors union Equity is calling for the new guidelines in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein sex scandal.

Equity also want a total ban on nudity at auditions and castings.

The new guidelines have been drawn up after a number of actresses complained about doing snogging scenes when the actor suddenly shoved his tongue into their mouth.

Daniel Kaluuya, the star of Get Out and Black Panther, said he had not known “it’s bad etiquette to put your tongue in”.

He added: “I was just doing it because I thought we’re keeping it real.”

TV and film chiefs might also have to employ an “intimacy director” to protect actors.

Almost 200 actresses including Keira Knightley, Emma Thompson, Carey Mulligan and Saoirse Ronan have signed a letter calling for an end to abuse.
