GEORDIE pop queen Cheryl Tweedy says she is “not bothered” about reports she is splitting up with Liam Payne.

The singer said her charity Cheryl’s Trust was her “perfect marriage”.

Chezza also spoke of her love for Newcastle as she launched the Cheryl’s Trust Centre in her home town yesterday in front of crowds of adoring fans.

It was her first public appearance since claims emerged that her relationship with the One Direction hunk could be over “within weeks”.

The couple, who had baby son Bear just 11 months ago, are said to have grown apart due to their 10-year age gap and Liam’s jet-setting lifestyle.

Asked about Liam, Chezza said: “It doesn’t bother me at all because my focus is solely on this [the charity].

“I have waited for seven years to finally be here and none of that matters – this is the most important part for me.”

She added of her home city: “It’s where I’m from, it’s the heart of me, it’s Newcastle. My self-belief, the person I’ve become has all been created here.

“To be able to give back and help others – nothing can beat that.

“It’s lovely getting awards for wearing nice clothes or singing, but the feeling of pride I have here can’t be beaten.”

The centre will work with the Prince’s Trust to help vulnerable youngsters.

Pals now reckon she could return to the north east to head up the charity, ditching her plush celebrity life in Liam’s Surrey mansion.

Liam, 24, meanwhile, answered fans’ questions on the BRIT Awards Twitter page.

His answers sparked more rumours about his close relationship with his sexy duet partner Rita Ora.

Liam said: “We had a lot of fun in the studio and our personalities blend really well together, we can have a good laugh and we are just very similar people.

“It was nice and I’m glad we got in the same studio.”
