I WONDER who’ll be feeling the most pressure ahead of tonight’s THE BRIT AWARDS

2018 (8pm, ITV). Will it be Dua Lipa, needlessly fretting that her five nominations will somehow come to nothing on the night? (They won’t, she’ll do fine, you can trust me on this).

Will it be Mr Edward Sheeran, who could only manage a crushingly disappointing four nominations and must therefore be fearing his career is all but over?

Or will it be Jack Whitehall, who’s landed the job of hosting this year’s event, coming once again from London’s O2 Arena? Admittedly, hosting the The Brits these days isn’t quite the poisoned chalice it used to be – mostly because it’s become a way slicker, more polished production – but even so, it’s still not an easy crowd to handle. I’m no expert, but I sometimes get the impression one or two of these people may have consumed alcohol.

BEFORE that, in tonight’s CORONATION STREET (7.30pm, ITV), pain-wracked Billy is desperate to quell the fears of anxious Summer. “I’m on the mend,” he assures her. Billy’s sure as hell on something, of course, supplied by his lowlife scumbag of a brother, but “the mend”, it’s fairly clear, isn’t it.

Carla, on the other hand, really is recovering rather well from Monday’s life-saving kidney swap. And her gratitude to donor Aidan seems to know no bounds. Even so, she’ll almost certainly need her head examined at some point in the not-too-distant future, following her decision to hand him all her Underworld shares as a thank-you prezzy. “It seems only fair,” she reckons...
