PREZ CRIB SHEET FOR GUN KIDS
Trump meets victims and says: ‘Arm Sirs’
DONALD Trump used a cue card reminding him to be “sympathetic” to victims of the US school massacre.
The President held a crib sheet listing things to say including: “I hear you”.
His note was spotted during a meeting with victims’ families from the school in Parkland, Florida, where 17 people were killed by a gunman last week.
At the White House meeting Mr Trump suggested that teachers could be armed with guns.
He said: “This would only be obviously for people who are very adept at handling a gun.
“Where a teacher would have a concealed gun on them, they would go for special training.”
He added: “A gun-free zone, to a maniac, because they are all cowards, is ‘let’s go in and let’s attack’.”
Mr Trump, who received more than £22million from the National Rifle Association when running for office, claims concealed guns could end attacks “very quickly”.
This comes despite tweeting in 2016: “Crooked Hillary (Clinton) said that I want guns brought into the school classroom. Wrong!”
Grieving Samuel Zeif, a student at the Florida school, last night hit out at American gun laws.
The 18-year-old said: “I don’t understand why I can still go in a store and buy a weapon of war.”
