YAYA TO MISS WEMBLEY

- by JEREMY CROSS

YAYA TOURE, a Wembley hero for Manchester City so often in the past, is set to miss out on a farewell to the national stadium.

The veteran midfielder, 35, hit the winner in the FA Cup semi-final and final in 2011, the equaliser in the 2014 League Cup final and a shoot-out winner in the 2016 final.

But City boss Pep Guardiola is unlikely to include the Ivorian to face Arsenal on Sunday.

Toure, who will leave the club this summer when his contract expires, has not made an appearance since January 9 and hasn’t been in a squad since February 3. CITY star Sergio Aguero will not press charges against the Wigan fan who assaulted him at the DW Stadium.

The unnamed supporter spat at Aguero and verbally abused him following City’s shock FA Cup defeat at the League One outfit on Monday.

The incident happened during a pitch invasion as the fifth-round tie ended in a shambles. The offending fan has been tracked down, but his identity has not been made public.

The unsavoury scenes left Etihad bosses seething and threatening to take legal action against the Latics.

But it emerged last night that Aguero has told police he doesn’t want to take the matter further.

Both clubs have until 5pm today to respond to an FA charge of failing to control their players following the melee that took place after City’s Fabian Delph was sent off.
