A FOOTBALL fanatic who scooped £100,000 on a scratchcard says his win is down to his late grandad.
David Swatman, 39, claimed his grandfather’s spirit inspired his huge jackpot – and added: “I can’t believe what he’s done.”
The 39-year-old said his grandad, who died last May, was “looking down on me, wherever he is”– and his windfall was “all down to him”.
Delivery driver David said: “I have a picture of my grandad next to the TV and I still like to have conversations with him as if he is still with us.
“I was watching a documentary on lottery winners and I remember telling him to look after me and bless me with a win of my own.

“Lo and behold a few months later, I’m sitting here £100,000 richer and it’s all down to him. He’s definitely looking down on me, wherever he is.
“I can’t believe what he’s done, it’s going to completely change my life.”
Liverpool supporter David, from Manchester, has vowed to blow the cash on a trip to see his parents who live in Australia – and on supporting his beloved team.
David has followed the Reds all his life, but often misses out on games because of his job. He now wants to splash out on hospitality tickets for him and his pals if Liverpool reach the Champions League final.
He said: “I can’t see them play as often as I would like to. Who knows, I could even get tickets to the Champions League final in Kiev if Liverpool make it there.”
David was shopping when the Super Cash Bonus card caught his eye. He said: “I immediately went home and scratched it in front of my grandad’s picture. As I revealed what I had won, I just jumped around the room cheering and screaming.”
But he still went straight to work for an 11-hour shift. He said: “There was no way I was going to call in sick. I have lots of people that depend on me.”
