ENDER THE ROAD AS EX STAR HITS BOTTLE
Troubled Elaine on booze
FORMER EastEnder Elaine Lordan has sparked health fears after she was pictured boozing in the street.
The troubled actress, who played Kat Slater’s fiery sister Lynn Hobbs, looked unrecognisable as she glugged from a bottle before noon.
Appearing unsteady on her feet, the 51-year-old tilted her head back to down the drink before making her way to the shops.
The ex-soap star was even seen reaching out for a railing to steady herself as she made her way across the street in central London.
She also appeared to have to lean on a passing stranger for support.
This is not the first time Elaine has been spotted drinking in public.
In 2014 she was snapped popping into a shop and coming out with a bottle of Chenin ® Blanc wine in a black bag. The star was then seen swigging from it on the pavement. Elaine became a household name after starring as a member of the Slater clan in Albert Square. She joined the BBC show in 2000 but left in mid-2004. She was thought to have sought professional help for her drinking. In 2001 she received a motoring ban for drink-driving after being almost twice over the legal limit. Elaine has also been hit with a series of tragedies. In 2005 her mum Bernie died after throwing herself in front of a Tube train. Nine months later, her baby son James died aged one, and she then miscarried a second child in 2007. The misery continued in 2008, when her father Garret passed away.
