Reach for the new Sky

CUSTOMER BOX CLEVER

-

IT has been a big week for Sky customers.

The broadcaster has announced new features including updates to its Sky Q box and the launch of Netflix.

So, if you’re a Sky TV addict here’s the new bonus extras launching soon.

After years of waiting Sky is finally allowing Netflix to be viewed via its set-top box.

This means fans of the streaming service will be able to binge on box sets from one place with Sky and Netflix content side-byside for the first time.

There’s even the ability to add your Netflix subscription to a new Sky TV bundle.

Netflix integration is set to launch on Sky Q in the UK and Ireland later this year.

There’s also stunning 4k HDR content and a new TV app. Sky has been beaming 4K content into homes for a while but this pin-sharp programming is getting another boost.

That’s because Sky has now confirmed plans to launch HDR (High Dynamic Range) on its flagship set-top box.

The UK broadcaster also revealed a new Sky Q app which will launch on smart TVs and thirdparty devices.

This means customers will be able to watch content on the big screen without needing their settop box to be connected.

Sky Q customers will soon be able to listen to their favourite Spotify playlists, too, thanks to a dedicated version of the music streaming service.

Customers will be able to use the ad-supported Spotify service for free, or log-in within the Sky Q app to access their account.

Starting this month, Sky will start pushing out its new menu design to Sky Q customers.
