Puel fear for Foxes

- By DAVE ARMITAGE

LEICESTER boss Claude Puel has warned his men not to get shot down in West Brom’s last chance saloon.

Puel worries that the Baggies’ desperate fight to claw themselves off the bottom of the table makes them dangerous opponents today.

Alan Pardew’s men appear doomed, but Puel has warned his players to take them lightly at their peril.

“We know it will be perhaps one of the last chances for them to come back,” said Puel.

“We are sure they will play a good game against us and we need to be ready. But we need good concentration in our play against this team. It will be a tough game.”

The Frenchman is convinced West Brom will be suffering a crisis of confidence after only three league wins all season and six successive defeats.

“I think that is normal because all players have good quality with good attributes,” he said. “The difference sometimes is just the confidence.

“We can have some bad results and have a good squad. They have some experienced players and good young players, and could easily be in the middle of the table.

Quality

“Many teams are close and the difference sometimes is just the confidence.

“After the top six, all the other teams are very close together in terms of quality. We know this won’t be easy.

“Their situation is not my concern. My concern is just about my team.

“We know we need better results to keep the possibility to stay in the top half of the table and move up.”
