Garcia will prove he’s four-some

- Interview by CHRIS McKENNA Garcia v Lipinets is live and exclusive on BoxNation from 2.30am tomorrow.

MIKEY GARCIA is one of the best fighters on the planet and will bid to become a four-weight world champion tonight.

The unbeaten American takes on Kazak Sergey Lipinets for the IBF lightwelterweight title and it could be explosive.

But I expect Garcia to come through and further cement his place as one of the top boxers around.

Garcia has won belts at featherweight, superfeatherweight and lightweight on what has been a remarkable journey.

The feat is made all the more impressive by the fact he has had a year out of the ring while in dispute over his promotional contracts.

He is supremely talented and it will take a top fighter to beat him.

But we have just the man in our stable though if he wants to have a big light-welterweight unification later this year.

Terry Flanagan is bidding to become the WBO champion when he takes on American Maurice Hooker on April 14 at the O2.

And if he comes through that, then he will be more than willing to take on Garcia in America or in the UK.

We still haven’t seen the best of Flanagan but I firmly believe the better the opposition, the better he fights.

It doesn’t get much better than Garcia. There will be no fear of Flanagan not wanting the fight either. He will take on anyone.

The light-welterweight division could be a very exciting one over the next couple of years.

US star Terence Crawford may have moved up but there are still plenty of big names with more to come.

It won’t be long until lightweight king Jorge Linares steps up and WBO super-featherweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko will keep rising up the divisions.

There could be some special fights to come over the next few months.
