SEETHING telly star Jeremy Clarkson last night blasted claims that his £160million Grand Tour show is to be axed and his career has hit the skids.
FURIOUS Jeremy Clarkson blasted claims The Grand Tour is set to be axed and his career has hit the skids.
The petrolhead denied his £160million Amazon Prime motoring show had run out of gas and would not be recommissioned.
He said: “All I will say for now is that, as usual, the reports are inaccurate.”
And he added it would be “hilarious” if anyone believed “the f***ing stories” and thought he would be out of a job.
The Grand Tour, fronted by Clarkson James May and Richard Hammond, was launched in 2016 in a blaze of glory.
Exotic
All three had been snapped up by Amazon following their departure from BBC’s Top Gear.
Clarkson, 57, was sacked from the long running show in 2015 after punching a producer.
Amazon is splashing out a rumoured £160m sending the team to exotic locations all over the world.
Last night Grand Tour producer Andy Wilman said of the show’s future: “We are focusing on series three at the moment.”
And Clarkson, who will host a weeklong series of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? for ITV this spring, told fans he was not disappearing anywhere.
Amazon declined to comment. But a source said: “The team have not begun filming series three yet so it’s too soon for any decisions to have been made.”
