Bond plot thickens

Says

-

WHAT on earth is going on in Salisbury?

Until now the place was best known for being near Stonehenge.

Oh, and having an original copy of the Magna Carta. Which is nice. Now the quaint medieval cathedral city is at the centre of a spy poison plot that threatens to ruin this year’s World Cup.

The incident is wrecking what was left of our relationship with Putin and perhaps pushing us to the brink of a new Cold War.

Every day seems to bring more grim news.

Now police are telling 500 people who had been near the restaurant or pub caught up in this spy poison mystery to wash all their possessions.

And we seem no nearer to tracking down the poisoner. Perhaps James Bond has already been down to Wiltshire, quietly dispatched the culprit, and is already back sipping a Martini on his yacht?
