SNOWFLAKE young adults claim they are suffering a “quarter-life crisis” as they struggle with pressures.

Many complain about boring jobs, lack of employment prospects and poor living accommodation as they battle to make ends meet.

A poll of Brits aged 25 to 35 – so-called millennials – found more than half are struggling to cope amid financial, career and personal pressures.

Nearly a quarter of young adults are stressed about finding a job and 28% say their current work is not challenging, the survey of 2,000 people found.

It also emerged the average millennial claims to feel at rock bottom for more than six months as they struggle to “sort their life out”.

Bad luck in relationships and desperation to get on the housing ladder also leave young adults blue yet, in spite of the gloomy outlook, half believe things will get better soon.

First Direct bank teamed up with psychologist Dr Oliver Robinson to look at how people can use a crisis as a spark for change.

Dr Robinson said: “There’s two sides to a quarter-life crisis. They are feared but can be times of openness, curiosity and growth.”
