We are floating on air over No1

-

RUDIMENTAL are floating their way to No1 and Ed Sheeran’s wedding!

The quartet celebrated overtaking Drake at the top of the midweek charts by driving a carnival float through the streets of London yesterday.

And next the lads plan to bring their party-on-wheels to mate Ed’s nuptials.

Speaking to Wired aboard their float, Piers Agget said: “If Ed doesn’t invite me to his wedding then I’ll come and shut down his wedding.

“We will drive the whole carnival down and gate-crash, whether we get an invite or not we are coming!

“We’ve met his missus on tour. She’s a lovely woman and it will be a beautiful day.”

Rudimental and Ed scored a huge hit together with Bloodstream a few years back, and there’s another collab due soon.

Bandmate Kesi Dryden confirmed: “We are good friends with Ed so yes we do have music that hasn’t been heard yet.” Yesterday’s Rudimental parade kicked off in the band’s home borough of Hackney and continued for 26 miles until they reached Alexandra Palace. Piers was joined by his new baby boy, a taste of what’s to come when they tour later this year. He gushed: “Where it’s possible I will include him on the tour, I want him to see what I’m up to. He can already play the piano!”

The boys were joined by Jess Glynne and Dan Caplen for a live performance of soon-to-be No1 These Days.

They have big plans to celebrate at the weekend too: “We’ve held our own up there in the charts, if we’re honest we want to finally knock Drake off the top.

“If we go No1 maybe we can keep doing this for all of next week, upset all the councils around England!”

Rudimental play Alexandra Palace on October 27, tickets go on sale Friday.
