National Tea Day: This celebrates the 165million cups we drink annually – cue arguments about which biscuit goes the best with a brew. When: April 21. Star Wars Day: Officially celebrating the legendary sci-fi movie series since 2011. In 2015 even astronauts on the International Space Station joined in, watching the original movie. When: Inevitably, May 4. World Laughter Day: Invented in 1998 in India by Dr Madan Kataria on the basis that having a chuckle can be good for you. When: May 6. Fish And Chip Day: The perfect excuse to tuck into some cod and chips, this was set up last year by the National Edible Oil Distributors Association. When: June 1. Beer Day Britain: Raise your glass to our national brew, set to mark the signing of the Magna Carta in 1215. When: June 15. National Kissing Day: This day, urging you to snog someone you love, has been going for 12 years. Don’t have a partner? You can still get petting anyway – because it’s also Bring Your Dog To Work Day. When: June 22. World UFO Day: This is the day to get flying saucer spotting. When: July 2. World Emoji Day: Love them or hate them – expect to see a lot of them. When: July 17. National Orgasm Day: It began in Brazil but for years we Brits have been ticking the date for a bit of nookie. When: July 31. National Burger Day: Enjoy discounts on your fave patties nationwide. When: August 23. World Beard Day: Hirsute you, sir? Time to appreciate those who sport beards, moustaches and other facial hair. When: September 2. Talk Like A Pirate Day: Started in 2002 by two pirate loving pals from the US, we’re all urged to be Jolly Rogers and shout ‘Ahoy, me hearties!’ as much as possible. When: September 19. World Toilet Day: A surprisingly serious day – time to pause and remember the 2.4billion people who live without one. When: November 19.
