Help! for TV Carra
BEATLES superfan Jamie Carragher is listening to the group’s hits to get over his spitting shame.
The pundit has had the Fab Four’s songs on repeat since being suspended from his £1million-a-year Sky Sports role for spitting towards a 14-year-old girl.
And pals say Carragher is taking great comfort from the songs by his fellow Liverpudlians.
A source at his sports academy in Bootle, Merseyside said: “He’s a massive Beatles fan – his favourite song is In My Life.
“The lyrics are bittersweet and I think they really strike a chord with Jamie at the moment.”
The troubled star yesterday made his first public appearance since the scandal, in Liverpool.
He was the special guest at the launch of Hillsborough charity event Run For The 96.
The 40-year-old posed for selfies and presented a signed shirt.
The fun run is supported by Carragher’s 23 Foundation which raises money for the families affected by the Hillsborough disaster when 96 Liverpool fans died.
Former Kop favourite Carragher was suspended by Sky until the end of the season after he was filmed by motorist Andy Hughes spitting towards him and his daughter following Liverpool’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester United. TEN people have been arrested in dawn raids by police investigating the use of drones to smuggle drugs into jails.
Officers in the West Midlands detained eight men and two women aged from 20 to 43.
Det Insp Erica Field said: “Much of the violence in prisons is linked to drug use, so it’s vitally important we do all we can to cut off the supply lines.”
