BRITAIN is set to be clobbered by a blast of snow as the big freeze returns.

Weather warnings are in place for much of the UK as another Beast From The East heads our way. The Met Office has issued 11 amber and yellow warnings for snow and ice over the next three days. The alerts cover London, the southeast, Midlands, and north from 4pm today to 9am tomorrow. Gusts of up to 70mph are also expected in the northwest. Public Health England issued a level three cold weather alert, asking people to check on their neighbours. And the Environment Agency put out 44 alerts for floods across England. Mark Wilson of the Met Office said: “This will be a real return to wintry conditions. “The last couple of days have been quite mild across parts of the UK. “We got to around 16C on Thursday in Wales but by Saturday all of us will be back to very cold BOOZY Brits will be hit with heavy fines if they party in the streets of Majorca. They will be forced to fork out £529 for “disturbing the peace” by drinking alcohol in the road outside pubs and bars. The fines are more than what most revellers pay for a week in drinksoaked Magaluf. Town hall bosses are tired of the resort being a magnet for riotous ® weather. Temperatures will be just around freezing, but with the wind it’s going to feel well below freezing.”

Richard Leonard of Highways England said: “Gritters will be out treating our roads around the clock.”

Ladbrokes last night made it odds on that it will snow in every city in the country this weekend.

The firm’s spokesman Alex Apati said: “The Beast From The East is back for more with the whole country now expecting snow.” The Star Says: Page 6 ® gangs of young Brits. Mayor Joan Carles Verd is bringing in 36 tough laws, with unauthorised alcohol vendors and bar bosses facing fines of up to £88,000 for selling booze outside shop hours or to minors.

A statement said: “Fiesta night parties are one of the main targets for this ordinance, but it will clearly also apply to tourist areas.”
