City Euro hopes face Red menace

- CHARLIE McCANN

PEP GUARDIOLA’S Manchester City allstars will face Liverpool after that highly-intriguing Champions League quarter-final draw yesterday.

The Reds are the only side to register a Premier League win against the champions-elect so far this season and BetVictor make City 4-9 to qualify for the last four with Liverpool 13-8.

With those prices, Jurgen Klopp’s side must be the choice although the first leg will be at Anfield on April 3 or 4 which doesn’t help Liverpool.

Spurs and Chelsea will feel aggrieved they did not reach the last eight but the London clubs are both in FA Cup quarter-final action this weekend.

With Harry Kane injured, Spurs need to show they are not a one-man band away at Swansea in today’s early kick-off.

Spurs are unbeaten in their last 15 games against the Swans although the South Wales outfit did pick up a point at Wembley earlier in the season.

Spurs are making solid progress but seem to fall short in the really big games and badly need silverware.

They are 9-4 to lift the cup at their Wembley home in May and 1-2 to make it to the semis in 90 minutes.

Note there are NO replays and all ties will go to extratime and penalties if the game finishes level.

Son Heung-Min (13-10 to score at any time) stepped up to the plate in Kane’s absence at Bournemouth last weekend and the South Korean has nine goals in his last 10 FA Cup starts. The Swans are 7-1. And remember Spurs could not beat Newport or Rochdale on the road in the competition this season.

Chelsea cannot afford to feel sorry for themselves at the King Power Stadium tomorrow after their Champions League exit.

The Blues rapped the woodwork four times over the two legs on their way out against Lionel Messi’s Barcelona.

Antonio Conte’s side are 4-1 to lift the cup and 21-20 to win in 90 minutes with Leicester. The draw is 5-2.

The sides have met five times in the cup and Chelsea have won every game.

Worth noting the Blues have gone on to lift the trophy in the last three seasons they have met the Foxes in the competition – 1997, 2000, 2012.

There will be goals so Chelsea to win and both teams to score is the 31-10 choice.
