AN RAF hero is fundraising £350,000 to save his life as he fights brain cancer.

Jordan Brown, who has served for 20 years, is researching self-paid treatment overseas. The 36-year-old, from Suffolk, was diagnosed last March after suffering a seizure in his sleep. Now the dad of two, who fought in Afghanistan and Iraq, has just a month before his life insurance cover runs out. Jordan and his wife Debbie, 42, are trying to find alternative new treatments. Jordan said: “I have paid for life insurance cover since I joined the RAF.

Risk

“I was shocked when they turned around and said they’d only cover me for 12 months as being terminally ill meant I wouldn’t live past that, which I already have. “They won’t even re-insure me, as to them I’m too high a risk. “I can’t fault the NHS but we don’t have any more options, I’ve already had one lot of brain surgery which wasn’t successful. “My tumour couldn’t be removed and with my body not reacting well to chemotherapy or radiotherapy, I’ve been on seizure suppressing medication since March. “I have been through a lot in my life and this cancer is the scariest. “I can no longer read bedtime stories to my fiveyear-old daughter Grace or help my 10-year-old son Sam with his homework as I have brain damage from my surgery.” To donate to Jordan’s cause visit gofundme. com/jordan-brownfighting-together.
