Star tells of couple’s battle to avoid rift
SINGER Liam Payne has spoken of his “tense” relationship with Cheryl Tweedy.
And he confessed: “We have our struggles.”
The pop hunk admitted they are “somewhere in the middle” between splitting up and getting married.
He said things are not “fine and dandy” but insisted the couple work through tough times together.
The For You singer, 24, said: “You know, we have our struggles. I’m not gonna sit here and
OPENING UP: Liam say that everything’s absolutely fine and dandy, because of course you go through different things, and that’s what a relationship is.
“But we go through them together as a family and that’s the most important thing for me.”
Liam, whose son Bear with Cheryl, 34, turns one today, said dating a celebrity piles extra pressure on a relationship.
He said: “I’m very fortunate I partnered up with someone who’s very understanding with what I do.
“It’s difficult having someone else who’s so high profile in the media.
“There was always going to be a little bit of tenseness in the way we sort ourselves out, but tell me a relationship in the world that doesn’t go through a spot like that?”
Liam added: “It is about making it work for us, not making it work how people think it should work.”
