SO I’m guessing you won’t be watching SPORT RELIEF 2018 (From 7pm, BBC1). I’m guessing you’ll have been so fired up by all the inspirational charity stuff that’s been going on these past few weeks that you’ll be too busy doing your own fundraising stunt. Cycling up Ben Nevis in the dark, say, or pogo-sticking to Paris.

But just in case you do happen to find yourself slumped in front of tonight’s six-hour telethon – hosted by Claudia Winkleman, Ore Oduba, Gary Lineker, Davina McCall, Paddy McGuinness and Freddie Flintoff, although fortunately not all at once – let me just whet your appetite, line-up-wise. The main attraction? I reckon that’s the celebrity boxing, popping up at various points throughout the night. Can Jeremy Clarkson punch Piers Morgan’s lights out?

Very possibly, but sadly that’s not one of the contests.

Instead we have Hannah Spearritt taking on Vanessa White (yes, at last, the S Club v The Saturdays head-to-head), Helen Skelton squaring up to Love Island’s Camilla Thurlow and ex-footballer Wayne Bridge exchanging blows with reality star Spencer Matthews.

Elsewhere, there’s a Strictly Come Dancing special, with Chris Kamara, David Ginola and Alex Scott, a celebrity boat race and A QUESTION OF SPORT

RELIEF, the latter starting on BBC2 at 10pm.

The number to call to give away all your money is 03457 910 910. ELSEWHERE, Simon Rimmer looks back on some culinary treats that emerged in the 70s and 80s, such as Angel Delight, Blue Nun and, er, gender-specific ice lollies, in his new Channel 4 two-parter BRITAIN’S

FAVOURITE FOOD (8pm).
