Yessss, you’ve been dealt a premium hand! How do you capitalise? “One of the first factors…to keep in mind when trying to get value out of good hands is how the table regards you,” advises Unibet Poker. “If you have been extremely loose-aggressive, then all of a sudden you slow-play, chances are your opponents will know that something’s up. The same can be said if you’re tightpassive and raising a lot while you’re holding the nuts. You need to understand how your table opponents see you and bet accordingly.” Bear that in mind if you plan to tackle the latest stop of the ‘Unibet UK Poker Tour’. The £40,000 GTD event (£220 buy-in) runs until Sunday at the Rendezvous Casino in Brighton. www.tinyurl.com/UUKPT2018)

Q: In Texas Hold’em, what’s a ‘zero board’? A: A ‘zero board’ occurs when all of the community cards (the flop, turn and river) have been dealt and there is no chance of anyone making a straight, full house or flush. To qualify as a zero board, no three cards can be within five ranks of each other, there can’t be any more than two cards of the same suit, and there can be no pairs on the board. The highest hand possible with a zero board is three-of-a-kind. An example of a zero board would be Ace of Clubs-King of Spades-Nine of Spades-Six of Hearts-Four of Diamonds. The highest hand possible in this example would be a set of Aces.
