,%+, ESSPEEGEE (treble) is in a rich vein of form and has won on his last two outings at this track and makes plenty of appeal. He only failed by a neck to keep his winning run going when beaten by Smiley Bagel at Lingfield. That form has since been franked and, though he is up 3lb, that is offset by the claim of today’s capable apprentice. Champagne Rules signed off last season with victories here and at Kempton and is now 9lb higher. He will need a career-best performance to complete the hat-trick but that is not out of the question. Kings Gold is yet to open his account but has posted a couple of solid efforts at this venue and is slipping down the weights. He could make the frame along with Something Brewing, who won a bumper here last time and the only negative is the drop in distance. -%(, The handicapper has not been harsh on ADVENTUREMAN, who is up 4lb for his recent course and distance victory. That means he is back to the same mark as when last successful on turf. He is best when able to dominate, so if able to get an uncontested lead, he may prove difficult to peg back. The drop back in distance helped Highwayman break his duck at the 19th attempt when a comfortable winner over track and trip for which he has been raised 6lb. Most of that has been offset by today’s rider’s claim and he may have more to offer. -%+, This looks good for HARMONICA (nb). She bolted up at Lingfield last Friday and escapes a penalty, so is able to race off the same mark. She is open to considerable improvement and is from a yard that is able to run up a sequence with its runners. Zabeel Star looks the one for the forecast after he scored over track and trip earlier this month. He is up 4lb but that does not appear harsh. Newmarket Warrior has a consistent record at this venue, winning twice over this trip and was only beaten a nose on his last visit here. .%(, The very consistent FURNI FACTORS is yet to open his account but has been knocking on the door. He has been beaten by the narrowest of margins on his last four outings and deserves a change of luck. There is probably better to come from Marietta Robusti, who got off the mark at Chelmsford and then had no answer to a well-handicapped rival at Lingfield. Carpet Time was entitled to win his maiden at Wolverhampton and faces a much stiffer test. He has only raced three times, so may have more improvement. The drop back in trip may not suit Wolverhampton winner Mutabaahy and that also applies to Super Florence. .%+, There was a lot to like about FOUNTAIN OF TIME (nap) at Lingfield. She started slowly and showed her inexperience through the race before knuckling down and scoring quite cosily in the end. She is entitled to improve and looks good enough to defy her penalty. Sketching finished strongly to snatch third with the disappointing Playfull Spirit, who was well supported, back in sixth. Both are likely to show more this time but they will do well to take their revenge. Both Jumeriah Street and Luola hinted at ability on their respective debuts while newcomer, Raaqyah, is related to several winners and the market will probably reflect her chance and should be monitored.
