Joshua: It’ll be all over in nine

ANTHONY JOSHUA predicts he will knock out Joseph Parker in the ninth round.

The unbeaten heavyweigh­t duo clash in Cardiff on Saturday night.

WBA and IBF champion Joshua said: “I am prepared for a 12-round fight.

“But if I’ve got £20 in my pocket, I believe Anthony Joshua knocks Joseph Parker out, for sure.

“If everything goes to plan, I think people fade between round eight and nine. Parker will fade around eight or nine.

When Parker faces Anthony Joshua on Saturday, Cardiff Blues No.8 Williams will be in Edinburgh for the quarter-finals of the European Challenge Cup.

“I had tickets and lots of buddies were coming to the fight,” said the Kiwi.

“It would have been incredible to have been part of it, but I’ve got a job to do. Hopefully we can win and then somehow watch the fight.

“I am cousins with Sonny Bill and I didn’t know I was also a cousin of Joe until one of my aunts mentioned it.

“In New Zealand, rugby is the No.1 sport but when you are heavyweigh­t champion of the world, that’s pretty awesome.

“Joe will either knock Joshua out in five rounds, or else it’ll go the distance and he’ll win on points.”
