Saturdays are put on hold
No Bones about it
THOSE hoping for a The Saturday’s reunion may be waiting for a very long time.
Una Healy says a reunion has never felt further away as she describes the topic as “taboo” among her former bandmates.
She told me: “To be honest it is a bit of a taboo subject now, no-one brings it up.
“When we get together and talk we will reminisce about things but we don’t talk about when we will get back together. I can’t speak on behalf of everyone but I hope we do one day.”
It was the 10th anniversary of their debut single If This Is love – but it passed without notice.
Una added: “If it’s not happening on the 10th anniversary, we missed that landmark, we’d have to wait until the 15th now.”
Meanwhile, Una is pushing on RAG’N’BONE Man with her solo career after a successful debut album The Waiting Game she is returning to her pop roots.
Catchy new single Never See Me Cry is a true testament to her versatility and an insight as to where she’s taking her second LP.
Una teased: “I want to come back out with more pop, songs you can really sing to.
“I have written a few up-tempos now just like the single.
“My first album was very much acoustic based and took me back to my singer/songwriter roots.
“And I just thought how I would love to get people on their feet, on the dance floor, and something we can do a dance remix too as well.
“It’s very much my pop side, embracing my pop roots.” ¬ LAST Shadow Puppets Miles Kane Izzy Zivkovic. Drake, Kanye West Justin Bieber’s Scooter Braun THE VACCINES / Combat Sports
