SHE is already one of the busiest stars on the box as a host on Big Brother, The Voice and This Morning.

But Emma Willis still found time to moonlight in a hospital for a new TV show.

Emma trained as a maternity care assistant for three months for a documentary series that will air on digital channel W this year.

A network source said: “Viewers will see her working four shifts a week, day and night, alongside the nursing staff where she’ll discover first-hand what makes it one of the toughest but most rewarding careers you can have.”

Emma’s tasks involved admitting prospective parents on to the ward, taking blood pressure and assisting in theatre.

She was inspired to take on the challenge after seeing her parents work in hospitals while she was growing up. Emma said: “If I wasn’t doing my current job I know for a fact that I would have loved to work in a hospital.

“Blood, guts and the workings of the human body have always fascinated me. Both my parents worked in hospitals and so it’s literally in my blood.

“I can’t wait to dive right in and fully immerse myself in a busy maternity ward alongside the truly incredible midwives and nurses who work there day in, day out.”

W’s channel director Adam Collings said: “W is always looking for surprising and innovative ideas and are delighted Emma will embark on this unique journey with us.

“I’m thrilled viewers will get to celebrate one of life’s most precious moments first-hand alongside the parents and healthcare professionals and as seen from Emma’s perspective.” TELLY babe Imogen Townley is in the best shape of her life thanks to a new fitness regime.

While working as a holiday rep on the ITV2 show she gorged on junk food and did hardly any exercise. But after a stint at Team Bootcamp she’s looking hotter than ever. For more info follow their Twitter page @team_bootcamp.
