My horrid trolls can all Dua one

LIPA HITS BACK AT HATERS

-

DUA Lipa has slammed trolls who attacked her over her BRIT Award.

The Londoner has been criticised for using inappropriate language, breaking up with boyfriends and even had her heritage questioned.

Dua said: “One day, people are really standing up for empowering women and the next, it’s about dragging them down.

“It’s important to remember that not everyone feels the way that some trolls feel. It’s upsetting because I’m also human – when people do say mean things on- line or they assume they really know something about your personal life, which they don’t.”

The star was recently attacked her for using the word Babi to wish her Kosovan dad happy birthday on Instagram – because Babi also means pig in Malay.

She responded: “It was actually quite mean on their behalf, because obviously I’m not talking in Malay. I speak another language as well, and the lan- guage that I speak with my parents is my heritage. I would like that to be respected.” She also set the record straight on reports that she dumped her boyfriend Paul Klein. “The media made it seem as if I was the one that was breaking up, which is completely untrue! “It had a lot of repercussions, because I was the one getting lots of hate and he was the one being sent all the love.” Performing live helps Dua: “I go on stage and I just jump back on to cloud nine.” The UK leg of Dua’s tour kicks off tomorrow at The SSE Hydro, Glasgow.
