DRUG GIRL’S HIGH LIFE BRAGGING BACKFIRES
Lidl worker rumbled by hols photos
A DRUG dealer’s girlfriend gave the game away by posting photos of luxury holidays when she earned less than £10,000 a year at Lidl.
Emily Lock, 22, enjoyed a lifestyle way beyond her means after she started dating £1,600-a-week cocaine peddler Mark Price, 27.
The couple blew more than £100,000 on cars, holidays and trendy gear.
Price bought himself a £60,000 Audi RS4 while Lock splashed out on Vivienne Westwood handbags and Gucci sunglasses.
They went on holidays to Amsterdam, Paris, Spain and Dubai and were about to head to Thailand when police swooped.
After spotting photos Lock had posted on Instagram, police raided her home and found it packed with designer clothes, jewellery, watches, bags and accessories worth £50,000.
At Price’s house in Coed Y Wennol, Caerphilly, officers found a blue plastic bag containing 110g of 83% purity cocaine.
Richard Griffiths, prosecuting, told Cardiff Crown Court Lock’s spending was inconsistent with the salary from her supermarket job.
The criminology student, who hoped to become a probation officer, told police she had no idea her boyfriend was a cocaine dealer and thought he was a builder.
She was jailed for 15 months after admitting acquiring criminal property.
The court heard Price took out a £33,000 loan by fraudulently stating he was employed by a construction company that had gone bust.
Price got seven years after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine, possessing the drug with intent and fraud.
Lock’s lawyer Andrew Taylor said Price, who was five years older, had been her first boyfriend and she liked the high life.
She had been “incredibly naive” and “has lost everything”.
Two of Price’s accomplices were jailed for a total of six years and eight months while one of their girlfriends got 120 hours of community work.
Police are hoping to seize the gang’s assets following a proceeds of crime hearing.
