Real Madrid 1 Juventus 3 Real win 4-3 on agg

CRISTIANO RONALDO fired Real Madrid into the Champions League semi-finals after their clash with Juventus ended in chaos last night.

The striker’s added-time penalty settled the tie after Juve threatened to pull off a stunning comeback at the Bernabeu.

Ronaldo was forced to keep his nerve after English referee Michael Oliver sent off Juve keeper Gianluigi Buffon for protesting over the spot-kick.

Juve were on the brink of taking the tie into

extra-time after staging a remarkable fightback.

The Italians trailed 3-0 from the first leg in Turin. But 24 hours after Roma overturned Barcelona’s 4-1 advantage, Max Allegri’s side came within seconds of taking the tie into extra-time.

Mario Mandzukic began the comeback with a second-minute header and the Croat added a carbon-copy second eight minutes before the break.

And Blaise Matuidi left the Bernabeu in stunned silence when he levelled the aggregate score on the hour, pouncing on a woeful error by Real keeper Keylor Navas, who spilled a low cross.

But Zinedine Zidane’s side booked their semi-final spot in the third minute of added time after Lucas Vazquez was bundled over by Mehdi Benatia.

Bayern Munich eased their way through to the last four after being held to a 0-0 home draw by Sevilla.

The Germans survived early pressure to protect their 2-1 first leg lead.
