BY George! It’s time to sex up The celebrations of England’s national day.
Today is St George’s Day and sees patriotic people around the nation commemorate everything good about being English.
As well as famous exports – we’re also pretty desirable to the rest of the world. So grab your best red and white clothes, flags and memorabilia and come together to feel proud of your red-hot country.
Here our saintly Stargirl Sarah models some of the sexiest swimwear options out there to help bask in the balmy weather. She says: “I’m proud to be English because we have the best football, the best pubs and know how to make a good cup of tea!

She’s not wrong, on any account. The English Premier League is hailed as the best in the world by both football experts and fans alike.
Our games are broadcast into 500million homes and to nearly 200 countries.
But, more importantly, our blokes are the sexiest around, apparently. Not only the pop babe Kesha say she thought lish men are the cutest in the world, but megastar Taylor Swift is one of many Holywood elite who regularly dates men from across the Pond – her boyfriends Harry Styles, Tom Hiddleston and recent beau Joe Alwyn are all English (although Calvin Harris is a Scot).
We’re also better than the Germans in bed, which is a result worth celebrating – a recent survey by OnePoll.com said we were superior lovers to our European neighbours.
Perhaps it’s our tantalising accents that have the rest of the world going weak at the knees, being recently named the sexiest in the world.
According to a survey by MissTravel. com American women vote an English accent the best around the globe, followed by Scottish. The founder of the study said that English accents were associated with “intelligence, class and desirability”.

Our women are blooming lovely too. Model Kate Moss was voted the sexiest lingerie model of all time, beating American star Dita Von Teese and even perky pop star Kylie Minogue. English roses Princess Kate, Emma Watson, Michelle Keegan, Kate Beckinsale and Emily Blunt are often topping the list of the most beautiful in the world.
If you’re looking for a mate, Manchester came up trumps as one of the best places in the world for dating. That’s according to Time Out’s City Life Index, a global survey which looks at “how city-dwellers around the world are living and loving in 2018”.
It revealed that if you are searching for love then Manchester is the best city, as 84% said they found it a breeze here.
Maybe it’s our rib-tickling humour which sees us do so well with the opposite sex? The English were also voted to have the best sense of humour.
A study found we gave the best laughs – thanks to our comedians such as Ricky Gervais, Steve Coogan, Jack Whitehall and Peter Kay. Finally, our music is the best to make love to. According to research on the top baby-making songs of all time by ShareMyPlaylists, Adele’s Someone Like You scooped No1, ahead of James Blunt’s You’re Beautiful and Eric Clapton’s Wonderful Tonight.
So raise a glass to St George and feel proud to be from a nation that’s truly hot stuff.
