I SAVED LIFE OF STALKER WITH SLASHED NECK

Horror as obsessed ex knifes himself

- By ALEXANDER BROWN alex.brown@dailystar.co.uk

A MUM saved her obsessed stalker when he stabbed himself in the neck outside her home.

Wendy Miles had dumped Keith Richmond, only for him to start following her.

The 59-year-old was spotted outside her home in his car and hiding in bushes.

She left home one day and found him in his car with a steak knife sticking out of his throat.

Wendy, a 55-yearold former Army medic, said the scene was “horrific” as she desperately tried to stem the bleeding. She said: “There was bright red blood everywhere and he was drifting in and out of consciousness. “I called an ambulance, then I went back to try to stem the bleeding.” Richmond had only missed his jugular vein by millimetres and was lucky to survive. He turned up back outside Wendy’s flat in Barry, Glamorgan, after leaving hospital three days later.

She ended their relationship after he became too controlling.

As well as turning up at her home, he left sinister voicemails, saying: “If I can’t have you then no-one else will have you either.”

Richmond, of St Nicholas, admitted harassment and was handed a five-year restraining order and a 16-week suspended jail sentence by Cardiff magistrates.

Speaking after the sentencing, Wendy said: “I don’t believe any restraining order will stop him.”
