Plot to target George denied
DETAILS: The prince A TERROR suspect accused of sharing details about Prince George’s school yesterday denied plotting and encouraging attacks.
Husnain Rashid, 32, is alleged to have posted details and a photo of the four-year-old royal on Telegram, a messaging site popular with extremists.
He is also said to have encouraged users to target George’s London school.
Rashid pleaded not guilty to three counts of engaging in conduct in preparation of terrorist acts, one of encouraging terrorism and two of dissemination of a terrorist publication.
Appearing at Woolwich Crown Court, he also denied failing to comply with a notice under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act.
Rashid is also accused of committing terrorist acts, including messaging people in Islamic State territory and plotting a trip to Syria and Turkey.
The charges also allege he published statements encouraging others “to commit, prepare or instigate acts of terrorism”.
A trial date has been set for May 14.
