Face it, there’s not enough of YOU to go around this month. With the poker calendar groaning under the wealth of live and online tournament action, you’ll be hard pressed deciding where to focus! There’s $110M of guarantees spread across the PokerStars ‘SCOOP’ fortnight, and another $40M on the simultaneous ‘POWERFEST’ on partypoker. There are seven ‘25-25 Series’ to tackle, two ‘GPS’ legs, APAT in Belgium, 888Poker’s ‘The One’, ‘The London LIVE Series’, a ‘Grand Prix Mini’ in Dublin… oh and a small matter of the start of the ‘World Series of Poker’ in Las Vegas. That doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of all the opportunities awaiting a you-shaped winner! But which are you going to seize?

EARN A TURN

If you bet pre-flop in position, get called by one player, Cbet the flop and get checkcalled again, what should you do if you get checked to on the turn? Bet again! If you are up against just one other NLH player, you shouldn’t be scared to fire that second barrel if it looks like they haven’t improved, they are still showing weakness, and you have no expectation of them being a particularly tricky player nor a calling station. Just make sure it’s a big enough bet and they should fold. Are there any cards that would slow you down on the turn? Flush cards and straight cards are the obvious ones. And big scare cards, like an Ace or a

King, can be tricky too.

Otherwise you are pretty much cleared to go for it!
