I SUFFER from an overwhelming urge to sleep around.

I’m currently flirting with a guy at work, I’m talking dirty to two strangers on the internet and chatting to the gorgeous chap who runs the corner shop.

My mates joke that I’ve got spring fever. The bottom line is that I’m desperate to have sex with someone new.

My current fella is lovely, but our love life has become boring and predictable. I like him and feel guilty about looking around, but need more than he can give.

I don’t have much sexual experience and feel it’s time to spread my wings. I find excuses to talk about my sex drive and figure to see if anyone is interested in me – and they are!

I recently went on a hen weekend with my cousin and two strangers in a nightclub propositioned me within minutes.

So far all I’ve done is flirt, but I’m itching to get stuck in. My bloke works really hard and knows nothing of my true feelings. I’m at a real crossroads because I couldn’t imagine life without him. Where do I go from here?

JANE SAYS: Unfortunately, you can’t have it all. You can’t enjoy the security and love your long-term partner gives you and then go behind his back with other lovers.

You need to make a serious decision. Do you resolve to shake things up with your partner? Or do you move on? Do you talk to him about agreeing to some early nights, introducing erotic literature or organising some steamy dates? Or do you establish yourself as a single woman?

The temptation to cheat may be strong, but think about how you’d feel afterwards. Consider what it would do to your partner.

If the stark reality is that your relationship has run its course, then you need to be honest with your man about your needs and your desire to be free.
