LIVETT’S A LIVEWIRE!

Harvey’s hat-trick

-

HARVEY LIVETT sent Warrington storming to a ninth straight win and wrecked Leeds.

The young forward, who’s only got his chance because of injury to Ben Currie, grabbed the spotlight with a hat-trick.

But credit to the whole Wolves team for this stunning effort.

They played some thrilling stuff as they came out all guns blazing before being rocked on their heels by a Leeds fightback.

But, with the champions seemingly on top, Warrington came snarling back for victory.

Livett started things off when he kicked ahead twice for standoff Kevin Brown to grab the opening try after seven minutes.

He then fooled the Leeds defence by twisting his way over to add a second try four minutes later. He almost set up a third but Ben Murdoch-Masila was stopped just short of the line.

Even though they only trailed 10-0, Leeds looked in all sorts of trouble – none more so than Ash Golding.

The full-back twice dropped high kicks near his own line but made up for his errors with Leeds’ opening try on 32 minutes.

Tyrone Roberts then landed a Warrington drop goal on the stroke of half-time, but Rhinos scored three unanswered, converted tries after the break.

Richie Myler put Joel Moon over for the first then helped Ryan Hall to go over, with Carl Ablett grabbing another try.

But Wolves struck with a threetry purple patch of their own.

Ryan Atkins touched down a Brown kick, then star man Livett pounced for his second try.

Stefan’s Ratchford’s conversion gave them a one-point lead before Livett’s hat-trick try and a late Murdoch-Masila score sealed the sensational win.
