HARRY MUST KEEP IT RAUL

- By JON WEST

HARRY KANE is hoping goalscoring great Raul can inspire him to the Golden Boot.

The former Real Madrid goal machine met the 27-goal striker at Tottenham’s training ground earlier this week.

Spain star Raul is working on his coaching badges and was at their Enfield base as a guest of boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Kane – who trails Liverpool’s Mo Salah by four goals in the race for the Golden Boot – can fire Spurs closer to the Champions League next season when they visit West Brom today.

And Pochettino revealed which target out of the two Raul thought was more important.

The Spurs chief said: “Raul told me, ‘My aim was always that the team wins and then if I score, fantastic, but be happy that the team won’.

“Now everyone needs to be focused on finishing in the top four.

“Harry knows he needs to keep working hard and keep scoring goals. But the collective target is more important.”

Spurs can send the Baggies down today as well as cement their own top-four placing.

Pochettino added: “West Brom are showing great character now.

“They beat Manchester United at Old Trafford and drew with Liverpool. They still have the belief they can stay up.

“We are playing to be in the top four and try to play Champions League next season. I think it will be a massive battle for them, but also for us.”

Midfielder Mousa Dembele could miss out with an ankle problem.

The Belgian has been plagued by fitness problems for large spells of the season and rarely completes a game.

Pochettino added: “He’s a player we need to pay attention to, maybe more than others, because we know about his ankle.

“It’s about managing him in the best way to be fit so he can play.”
