Broody royal bride ‘wants children soon’
MEGHAN Markle has told her best mate that she “can’t wait to be a mum”.
The actress, marrying Prince Harry next week, wants to get started on a family straight away. Former Suits star Meghan has confided in her former showbiz agent Gina Nelthorpe-Cowne.
Gina told a documentary: “She said to me: ‘I would absolutely love to have children, and I can’t wait to be a mother.’”
It has been suggested that the 36-year-old will aim to fall pregnant soon after saying her vows. When he announced their engagement, sixth-inline to the throne Harry, 33, talked about getting broody.
He said: “One step at a time. Hopefully we’ll start a family in the near future.”
The pair are postponing their honeymoon so they can have their first public engagement as a wedded couple a week after the glitzy ceremony.
After that, Harry and Meghan will jet off to Namibia.
The duo met on a blind date in June 2016 and Gina spilled the beans on the loved-up couple in Meghan & Harry: A Love Story, screened on Sky One last night. Gina, 52, used to travel the world with Meghan as her agent before she quit acting to throw herself in to royal life.
She added: “She didn’t talk much about her ex-husband or her divorce.
“For her, that was in the past and had no relevance. She knew that she wanted children and had planned to have them from a young age.”
Meghan’s soon-to-be sister-in-law, Princess Kate, was only 31 when she gave birth to her first child.
And the American is only seven months younger than Prince William’s wife who had her third child, Prince Louis, last month.
