THIS is the Brit toddler who plunged 25ft to his death from an apartment in Portugal.

Spencer Devlin was pronounced dead in hospital following his fall from a second-floor balcony.

His family told how he climbed through a window that mum Holly, 28, had opened “a little bit” as she cleaned.

The 18-month-old had been following her around in the moments before the Algarve tragedy.

His aunt Jess said he went quiet and his mum began to search for him.

She ran over to look outside and saw her son lying on the ground.

Jess said: “She saw little Spencer on the ground outside with people surrounding him and she ran straight down the stairs to him.’’

The tot was rushed to a hospital in the resort of Lagos then transferred to another in nearby Faro where he died.

Holly, from Perth, Australia, and his dad Robert Devlin, from the UK, are said to have been left “utterly devastated”.

The couple live in Lagos where Robert, 32, runs a business.

Jess said Holly had only opened the apartment window “a little bit” to air it and let the floors dry.

Spencer had been playing in the bathroom banging around on the cupboards.

His mum called him back to the living room then noticed she could not see Spencer or hear him.

Jess said the tragedy was a freak accident.

Spencer had been a happy and smiling youngster.

A GoFundMe webpage has been set up to help Holly and Robert pay funeral costs and other bills while grieving for their son.

A post on the page said: “They are beyond devastated.’’

Police are probing the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
