ELEVEN university students have been suspended for allegedly making vile comments about rape and race.

One wrote: “Rape her friends.” Another replied: “Sometimes it’s fun to just go wild and rape 100 girls.”

The conversation continued with: “Rape the whole flat to teach them all lesson.”

Another message in the Warwick University text messaging chat read: “What do we do with girls? RAAAAAAAAAPE.”

At one point a user wrote: “Rape her in the street.”

One chat participant, using a racial slur, then said: “Even the p***s?” Another said: “love Hitler, hate n **** s and jews (sic) and Corbyn.” One student replied: “Racism is class.”

The messages emerged after three complaints were made to the university, which is based in Coventry.

They were supported with dozens of screenshots of the alleged remarks.

A university spokesman said: “A possible student disciplinary incident is currently being actively investigated.

“We cannot comment further on this matter until those investigations, and any subsequent disciplinary processes, are concluded.” A Warwick University student union spokeswoman said: “The SU condemns these messages, together with all forms of sexism, racism, anti-Semitism, and threats of violence, in the strongest possible terms.

“The SU has been supporting the victims and will continue to do so.

“We are also co-operating with the university’s investigation.” ®

PUPILS caught taking plastic water bottles into school could be punished in the same way as if they were caught smoking behind the bike sheds.

The rule is being brought in by headmaster Richard Cairns as part of a major environmental drive at the £12,000-a-year Brighton College, East Sussex.

He said: “We will treat plastic bottles, straws and non-biodegradable cups as anti-social, in the same way that we have banned cigarettes.”
