RIDEG: PaulBPogbaAhas struNggled tOhis seaTson PAUL POGBA has refused to confirm if he will still be at Manchester United next season.

The £90m France international has had a difficult second season back at United following his return from Juventus in 2016.

Pogba has been axed from the team on several occasions, while boss Jose Mourinho has publicly questioned his attitude and contribution to the club.

It has increased fears that he could leave United this summer, with Paris StGermain keen on the midfield misfit.

Asked if he would remain at United, Pogba, 25, said: “We are never sure of anything but contractually it’s a yes.

“I can never look far into the future. It also depends how it goes with the club.”

Pogba is known to have a difficult relationship with Mourinho, but insists the pair do not have to get on to succeed together.

He added: “There were times where I wasn’t playing, I was on the bench. There was a lot of talk, people thought it wasn’t working out.

“But a coach and a player don’t have to be best friends, we don’t have to go to restaurants together.

“I had a few little problems too, football is sometimes all about the mental side. He put me on the bench and I gave my response on the pitch.”

Meanwhile, Alexis Sanchez admits he is struggling to adapt to Mourinho’s tactics.

Sanchez has been a huge let down since joining from Arsenal in January, scoring three goals in 18 games while earning £500,000-a-week.

He said: “I think that in every game I’ve played in I’ve maybe found it hard to adapt to the style of play and I’ve been getting to know my team-mates.

“I believe we need to improve in all aspects.

“We need to be focused and concentrated in the big games and the same in the so-called lesser games too.

“That’s what the great sides do and I think United are a great side, so that’s what we need to do.”

United are also keeping close tabs on midfielder Willian’s situation at Chelsea.

The Brazilian, 29, is keen to leave this summer if Antonio Conte remains in charge and Mourinho would be happy to take him to Old Trafford.
