‘DARK & SINISTER’ TAUNTS
Stalker left TV host living in fear
Mrs Lamps’ hell
CHRISTINE Lampard revealed her stalker hell, saying a “sinister and dark” obsessive left her living in fear.
Weirdo Christof King, 39, bombarded her with love letters and visits at her home as he fell for “the most stunningly beautiful person I have ever seen”. The stalker even penned notes to her husband, ex-England football captain Frank Lampard, and their dog Minnie. King is accused of tweeting her in late 2015 about “sharpening the nails” for her crucifixion and the writing on her tombstone. Christine – sitting in London’s Isleworth Crown Court yesterday behind a screen so she didn’t have to face King – said some of his tweets were “incoherent waffle” but others were “sinister and dark”.
She began to fear he’d target her going to work, leaving her “uneasy and worried”. Reliving her terror, she said: “They made me sit up and pay attention.
“I don’t get threatening messages and so this is why those stood out.” She added: “My biggest issue is I work predominantly on live TV. “By the very nature of that it’s very easy for someone to figure out where you are at an exact time.
“So if someone is talking about my crucifixion, it does slightly worry you. “I felt very uneasy with the letters, incredibly odd, including one written to my dog.” She said she recognised King “immediately” when he visited her £10million Chelsea home in January last year because she had memorised his Twitter photo.
The court heard her husband confronted King when he appeared at the gates asking to speak to her, and “firmly” told him to leave. King, of Kilburn, north London, admitted one count of stalking and will be sentenced today. King denies sending the tweets from the christ_of_ king Twitter account. The judge will also decide whether he sent them today.
